After an already long time cooperation, Quad Industries was honored to design and manufacture the keyboards for ThinX series.
Not an easy job, as the keyboard and display had to operate in the most extreme conditions and harsh environments like armoured vehicles or helicopters.
For the TX keyboards, Quad chose an already solid and proven technology and integrated up to 20 user defined membrane keys left, right, top and bottom with dimmable backlighting. Using a hardcoat polyester film offering the combination of high abrasion resistance and flexibility to the keypads. The keyboards are also IP67 rated, due to precise laser cutting, protecting the keyboards against the effects of dust and water ingress.
There has always been a great communication between ScioTeq and Quad Industries, making adjustments in design easy to execute. The skill set and experience of Quad were particularly well-suited in the design and production process of the key boards of the TX family.
