The monitoring of a person’s health and body conditions can provide useful preventive and accurate information. These conditions can be measured through smart patches, smart textiles or other wearables that also need to be flexible and comfortable to the wearer or user. Quad has developed a specialty designing and producing several of these devices. We are pleased to provide a brief explanation on each of them.
Medical skin patches
Electronic skin patches and diagnostic electrodes are becoming increasingly important in the medical world. They enable remote and continuous monitoring of a patient’s health condition. Quad Industries offers multilayer disposable patches with integrated electrodes for a wide range of applications, including ECG, EEG and EMG monitoring, skin conductivity (GSR) measurement or even electrostimulation.
Wearable skin patches
Wearable electrode patches must meet very specific requirements. Which is why Quad Industries combines efficient and clean manufacturing processes with medical-grade materials to create wearable patches that meet the highest standard. We use a wide range of innovative inks, films and skin adhesives:
- which are easy to apply and to remove
- which are unobtrusive and feel comfortable to wear
- which are stretchable so they can follow the natural body movement
- which can measure multiple body parameters simultaneously
With our expertise in electronic printing and adhesive converting, our teams develop customised peel-and-stick wearable patches for various monitoring purposes. Reliably connected to your sensing electronics, our electrode patches provide the possibility to measure a variety of parameters, such as, respiration, cardiac function, brain activity, and others.

- TPU substrates; ultra-thin and stretchable to allow body movements
- state of the art stretchable, conductive inks to ensure optimal reliability
- newest generation electrode technology, including hydrogel or dry electrode adhesives
- medical grade non-woven fabrics for soft integration
- a wide range of skin adhesives, to be selected based on the specific use case and user type
