Quad Industries Participates in the SMART-NeonaTO Project

28 OCT 2024 | NEWS

At Quad Industries, we are committed to developing cutting-edge solutions that contribute to advancements in the medical field. By participating in the SMART-NeonaTO project, we aim to leverage our expertise in printed electronics and smart sensors to help improve neonatal care. This project allows us to collaborate closely with medical and clinical experts, creating innovative solutions that could have a profound impact on the health and well-being of vulnerable newborns.

Funded by Interreg Vlaanderen-Nederland, the project SMART-NeonaTO has the ambition to optimize care for vulnerable newborns and wants to integrate innovative technologies into neonatal care. The goal is to develop a smart prototype system for the stabilization of newborn babies, where data analysis, smart sensors and advanced breathing modules work together to minimize health damage. In concrete terms, the project realizes three innovations:

  • A smart digital care coach
  • A smart sensor patch for neonates for accurate measurements
  • An innovative breathing module for controlled and non-invasive breathing

The border region, with its rich medical technology expertise, provides the ideal backdrop for SMART-NeonaTO. This project not only transcends national boundaries, but also offers a unique opportunity to take neonatal care to the next level, supported by collaboration between leading clinical and medical technology partners.

Our involvement in this project is not only about addressing immediate challenges in neonatal care but also about gaining valuable knowledge and experience that can benefit our broader customer base. Through such initiatives, we continue to push the boundaries of innovation, ensuring that our technologies meet the needs of various industries.

We look forward to sharing more updates as the SMART-NeonaTO project progresses. Stay tuned for more exciting developments.
